On 10th July 2019, SAIBUK together with Chinese Chamber of Commerce in the UK (CCCUK) hosted the Private Medical Insurance Seminar at the office of BOCUK, General Manager Mr. Zhang Keping gave a keynote speech on behalf of the company. At the same time, large medical insurance institutions AXA PPP and Vitality were also invited to participate and speak as local partners of SAIBUK.
In the lecture, Mr. Zhang Keping gave an overview of the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) and Private Medial Service (PMS) in terms of the operation model and scope of services, the limitation of NHS and how PMS can fill those gaps, also how to get the most out of both services under the headline “British Public and Private Health Care Systems and Health Services”. Subsequently, AXA PPP talked about the importance of having a PMI due to common health and wellbeing issues, and the procedure of making a claim, Vitality shared with us the cost of lost productivity due to sickness and the ROI of investing in PMI for employees.
As a council member of CCCUK, SAIBUK has always fulfilled its due diligence and actively engaged in positive interaction with CCCUK member units. This seminar aimed to promote the value of private medical insurance, help CCCUK member units to understand the UK healthcare service system and service processes, and to ensure the effective medical and health protection for employees of member units. With the support of more than 50 member units, the seminar has achieved great success, providing a large number of effective information and extensive communication opportunities for the guests. In the future, SAIBUK will further strengthen its cooperation with CCCUK, provide corresponding support to the chamber and its member units in the insurance field, and build a better employee health protection system for Chinese enterprises in the UK under the policy of “One Belt and Road”.
